The UN World Food Programme (WFP) continues to provide emergency food rations in Haiti. In March WFP plans to reach 2.5 million people.
WFP's operation is also focused on the reconstruction of the country, for which food will be the foundation. A critical issue right now is getting seeds to farmers so they do not miss the planting season in June. WFP and the Food and Agriculture Organization are working to achieve this by the end of March.
