Food for Education critical for Yemen and the Millennium Development Goals

The summit on the Millennium Development Goals is meeting this week in New York. Now is a critical time to highlight the lack of resources in place to help countries achieve these goals. One example is the Food for Education program in Yemen, which has suffered from low funding.
Food for Education in Yemen is run by the UN World Food Programme (WFP) in cooperation with Yemen's Ministry of Education. It is a fascinating program, for it tackles at least 3 of the millennium development goals: Reducing hunger and poverty, achieving universal education and gender equality.
