Elizabeth Tromans, of Hamilton, Ohio, has been a swimmer and diver for her whole life. That hard work led to a life-saving moment in India earlier this month.
Tromans was part of a Catholic Relief Services (CRS) team delivering relief supplies to villages in Northern India impacted by massive flooding. It was on their trek that the CRS team came across a road with a bridge washed out. A man and woman were trying to cross the fast-moving water on a bicycle. That is when disaster struck. The woman fell in and Tromans had to quickly spring into action.
