The UN World Food Programme's (WFP) Ambassador against Hunger, KC Concepcion, recently visited hunger relief operations in Uganda. Concepcion, an actress and recording artist, said "It was an eye-opening, even life-changing, experience."
WFP hopes to reach over 1 million people with food assistance in Uganda as the country recovers from decades of conflict. Increasing amounts of the food aid is coming from sources within Uganda itself as part of the Purchase for Progress program.
