When North Korea is "in the news," it's likely because of its nuclear weapons and missile tests, or its standoff with South Korea.
Less attention is given to the state of child hunger and malnutrition in the isolated country. Yet, it is the children who suffer the most in this closed society. The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) reports that "33 percent of children are stunted, and 20 percent are underweight."
